About the scholarship
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support postgraduate students enrolled in Education or Social Work related programmes who have demonstrated the potential to succeed but are experiencing hardships or who may have been disadvantaged due to their personal circumstances. All sections (including request sections) must be completed by the closing date, which is midnight on the specified date (unless stated otherwise). We recommend you do not have two different scholarship applications open within the same browser. Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around eight weeks after the closing date.

Entry requirements
'- To take up and be paid the Scholarship, the candidate must be enrolled full-time or part-time in a postgraduate programme in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at the University of Auckland.
- The Scholarship is tenable by students who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand.
- The basis of selection will be academic ability and a personal statement describing the circumstances (financial, social, and/or cultural) that negatively impact on the candidate’s ability to commence or continue their education at the University of Auckland. A grade point average (GPA) or grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00 is required for consideration for the Scholarship (see Note I).
