About the scholarship

The Scholarship was established in 2012 by the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries to attract and assist doctoral students studying in the Faculty.

The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support a doctoral student studying in the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries.

You do not need to apply for this scholarship, award or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.

Entry requirements

'- To take up and be paid the Scholarship the awardee must have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for fulltime enrolment in a doctoral degree in the Faculty of Creative Arts and Industries (see Note II).

  • The Scholarship is tenable by domestic students enrolled in a PhD, DocFA, DMA or DMus and domestic fee-paying international students enrolled in a PhD (see Note I).
  • The basis of selection will be academic merit, the quality of the proposed research topic and endorsement by the host academic unit. Where a completed programme with a University of Auckland GPA/GPE is the basis for entry to the doctoral programme, an applicant must have a GPA/GPE of 7.00 or above in that programme to be eligible for scholarships consideration (see Note III).
