About the scholarship
A Prize for the full-time student who achieved the highest aggregate marks across two Stage I English courses. The Sebastian Black Prize was established in 2000 to honour the outstanding contribution of Sebastian Black to the University of Auckland during his years as a teacher in the English Department from 1966-2000. The Prize is financed from a fund set up by the Department with contributions from colleagues, friends and alumni.
