About the scholarship

The KBB Music Jazz Percussionist of the Year Prize was established in 2013 by KBB Music. Established in 1888, KBB Music is a leading musical instrument specialist in the New Zealand market.

The main purpose of the Prize is to assist and encourage excellence of a promising undergraduate student majoring in Jazz Performance on a percussion instrument.

You do not need to apply for this scholarship, award or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.

Entry requirements

The Prize will be awarded annually to the full-time student majoring in Jazz Performance who has achieved the highest mark in MUS 371 (Jazz Performance 6) for percussion.
