Entry requirements
'- The Scholarship will be awarded to doctoral candidates who have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for fulltime enrolment in the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Medicine or the research component of another approved doctorate in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. The Scholarship may also be available to students for whom socially compelling reasons make part-time enrolment preferable (see Note II).
- The Scholarship is tenable by domestic or international students who are eligible to pay domestic fees and who will reside outside of New Zealand for no more than 12 months over the period in which they are enrolled in their doctoral degree.
- The basis of selection will be academic merit, the quality of the research proposal or project, the candidate’s financial situation and endorsement by the proposed supervisor and host academic unit.
