About the scholarship
A Prize for the BMus student who achieved the highest level of excellence in MUS 121 in Piano. This Prize was established in 1983 in tribute to the work of Associate Professor Janetta Mary McStay, on her retirement from the staff of the School of Music of the University of Auckland. The Prize fund was subscribed to by her former students, by staff of the School of Music, and by the general public, and was augmented by the proceeds of a special concert held in the Maidment Theatre on 27 November 1982.
