About the scholarship
A Prize for the BPharm student whose Part III collected portfolio demonstrated the best development in Hauora Māori understandings and culturally competent practices. The Prize was established in 2018 and is funded by Ngā Kaitiaki o Te Puna Rongoā o Aotearoa/ The Māori Pharmacists' Association (MPA). The main purpose of the Prize is to reward and recognise students of the Bachelor of Pharmacy who demonstrate development of skills, understandings and reflection in relation to the Hauora Māori domain learning at Part III level, with the overall aim of fostering graduates who are confident to offer culturally competent pharmacy services that can eliminate health disparities experienced by Māori health consumers.
