About the scholarship
The Hugh Laracy Pacific History Memorial Prize is a $500 prize awarded to the first year Bachelor of Arts student who achieves the highest marks in HISTORY 104. Established in 2018, this prize is funded by the students, colleagues, friends, and family of Hugh Laracy, a long-time popular and energetic lecturer in Pacific History. The main purpose of the Prize is to recognize and reward the first year Bachelor of Arts student who achieved the highest marks in the Stage I Pacific History course at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
