About the scholarship

The AUEA Māori Engineering Pathway Award was established in 2017 and is funded by the Auckland University Engineers Association (AUEA) Inc. The main purpose of the Award is to provide financial and mentoring assistance to first year Māori students who have achieved academically, have demonstrated leadership potential, and have demonstrated active participation in community, cultural and other activities, and have demonstrated commitment to, or interest in, the BE(Hons) degree programme.

How To Apply

Please read the regulations carefully to be sure you are eligible to apply. Then click on the “Apply now” button and complete the online application form. We recommend you check the form early in case a reference or endorsement is required to support your application, and to familiarise yourself with the form. All sections (including request sections) must be completed by the closing date, which is midnight on the specified date (unless stated otherwise). We recommend you do not have two different scholarship applications open within the same browser.

Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around six weeks after the closing date.

Entry requirements

Must be a first year Māori student enrolling in a BE(Hons) or BE(Hons) conjoint degree. Applicants should have achieved academically and demonstrated leadership potential and active participation in community, cultural and other activities. Please read the Regulations for the AUEA Māori Engineering Pathway Award for more details.
