About the scholarship
A $3,000 Scholarship for full-time enrolment in undergraduate or postgraduate study in Philosophy by a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
The Scholarships were established in 2013 and are funded by Philip O’Carroll, an alumnus of the Philosophy Department at the University of Auckland.
The main purpose of the Scholarships is to support promising students in Philosophy each year.

Entry requirements
To take up and be paid the Scholarship, the candidate must be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrolment in a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Postgraduate Diploma in Arts, Master of Arts or PhD, majoring in Philosophy, in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Auckland. The Scholarships are tenable by students who are citizens and permanent residents of New Zealand.
