About the scholarship

A Prize for the student who achieved the highest aggregate marks over at least two Stage III English courses. Until 1946 the fund was administered by the University of New Zealand and the University Grants Committee, and one Scholarship was available. In 1965 the fund was divided to provide separate Prizes at the University of Auckland, the Victoria University of Wellington, the University of Canterbury and the University of Otago.
