About the scholarship

Awards of between $500–$5,000 are made twice each year to assist New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents experiencing significant hardship in their final year of study in an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree programme. The University of Auckland Partnership Appeal Award was established in 2002 to assist students who have demonstrated the ability to succeed but are experiencing significant financial hardship in their final year of study. Staff of Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland contributed additional funding in 2020 to support postgraduate students in their final semester of study.

All sections (including request sections) must be completed by the closing date, which is midnight on the specified date (unless stated otherwise). We recommend you do not have two different scholarship applications open within the same browser.

Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around six weeks after the closing date.
