About the scholarship
The William Jebson Memorial Award is given to the student who obtained the greatest distinction in MECHENG 700 and 701. Established in 1972 by Mr. W. N. Jebson, a former senior lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, this award commemorates the recognition by the University of New Zealand of teaching for the Bachelor of Engineering at the Auckland School of Engineering from 1928. The purpose of the Award is to further the status of mechanical engineers by encouraging graduates to join their professional association.
