How To Apply

Entry requirements

'- The Inbound Awards are tenable by students who are US citizens or permanent residents and who have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrolment in a University of Auckland degree or Certificate of Proficiency (COPOS or COPEX). The Outbound Awards are tenable by students who have completed or working towards completion of the academic requirements of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at the University of Auckland (and may or may not have graduated) by the closing date and who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand and who have been offered postgraduate or undergraduate enrolment at a US university of at least equal standing to the University of Auckland (See Note I).

  • The basis of selection will be: i) academic merit with a GPA of not less than a US GPA of 3.7 (where 4 is an “A”) or a NZ GPA of 7.4 (where 8 is an “A”); ii) the applicant’s personal qualities, as outlined in their personal statement.
