About the scholarship

The Dean’s International Doctoral Scholarship (FMHS) was established in 2011 and is funded by the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland.

The main purpose of the Scholarship is to attract international students of high calibre to pursue a research doctoral degree in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.

You do not need to apply for this scholarship, award or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.

Entry requirements

'- Students will be considered for the award of a Dean’s International Doctoral Scholarship (FMHS) at the time of application for admission to a PhD degree in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland. Students who have already been admitted to their doctoral programme are not eligible for consideration for the Scholarship.

  • The Scholarship is tenable only by full-time students who are neither citizens nor permanent residents of Ne Zealand or Australia, and comply with the requirements of the domestic fees policy for PhD students, and who meet all the requirements of these regulations (see Note III).
