Entry requirements
To take up and be paid the Scholarship, candidates must be enrolled full-time and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for Part III or Part IV of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LLB(Hons)) at the University of Auckland. The Scholarship is tenable by students who are alumnae of Baradene College of the Sacred Heart or Sacred Heart College, Auckland and who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand. The basis of selection will be academic merit as assessed by the Scholarships grade point average (GPA) or grade point equivalent (GPE) obtained over the applicant’s most recent two years of full-time study (or equivalent) on all Law courses undertaken as part of their LLB or LLB(Hons) programme, financial hardship, leadership potential, contribution to the University and/or community services activities, potential to contribute in the area of Human Rights law, study and experience in the relevant area, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written English language skills. Short-listed candidates will be required to attend an interview. A GPA/GPE of at least 5.00 is required for Scholarship consideration.
