About the scholarship
A $5,000 Scholarship to support a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident enrolled full-time or part-time in postgraduate research focusing on adolescent and young adult health. The Scholarship was established in 2012 and is financed by the family and friends of Elizabeth Ewing. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage, support and promote academically able students to undertake postgraduate research with a focus on adolescent and young adult (AYA) patients with a diagnosis of a life threatening illness such as cancer and the impact that living with chronic illness and complex needs may have on the lived experience (psychosocial wellbeing) of AYA patients and their families.
