About the scholarship
The Award was established by the Trustees of the Will of the late Stella M C Baron.
The main purpose of the Award is to assist students undertaking Parts II, III, IV or V of a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery, especially where this funding would make a significant contribution to their financial needs.

Entry requirements
'- To take up and be paid the Award, candidates must be enrolled and have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for enrolment in Part II, III IV or V of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
- The Award is tenable by students who are citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand.
- The basis of selection will be academic merit and demonstrated financial need. Successful applicants will have a grade point average (GPA) or grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 5.00 (see Notes I and II).
