About the scholarship
The Milmeq Scholarship was established in 2003 to assist second, third and fourth year undergraduate students interested in primary food processing and low temperature materials handling systems. Milmeq is part of the Refrigeration Engineering Limited, a well-established (over 65 years) progressive and internationally recognised organisation comprising 7 companies and over 250 employees. Milmeq is fully NZ-owned, with offices in Auckland, Dunedin and Brisbane, and has established itself as an industry leader in the design, manufacture and installation of engineering systems in modern food processing facilities.

Scholarship applications will usually open around six weeks before the closing date. Please read the regulations carefully to be sure you are eligible before you apply.
Entry requirements
'- Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand and have resided in New Zealand for two or more years.
- The Scholarship will be offered to a student who is currently in Year II or Year III of study towards a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree in Chemical and Materials, Mechanical, or Electrical and Electronic Engineering and who will be entering Part III or Part IV in the following year.
- The basis of selection will be academic achievement, demonstrated interest in automated low temperature materials handling and primary food processing systems, and ability to contribute to the industry, including passion for engineering.
