About the scholarship
The scholarship supports undergraduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Canterbury, particularly those who are studying in the field of communications engineering and who share Steven Bly's interest in the “great outdoors”. The scholarship was endowed in 1995 by Tait Ltd (operating as Tait Communications) in memory of Steven Bly, to recognise his many contributions to the company, particularly in the field of Digital Radio Research.

Entry requirements
The scholarship is open to full-time students who are enrolled for the Second or Third Professional Year for the degree of Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Canterbury. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or holders of New Zealand residence class visas.
