About the scholarship
A $1,000 Award to assist New Start Programme students with demonstrated financial need. The Award is funded by New Start, Tertiary Foundation and administered by the University of Auckland Scholarships Office. The Award was supplemented in 2018 with funding from the Alumni Award and the Farrand and Firth Needy Student Fund. The main purpose of the Award is to assist potential students who wish to pursue a New Start Programme at the University of Auckland and who have demonstrated financial need.

Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around eight weeks after the closing date.
