About the scholarship
These Scholarships were established in 1996 and revised in 2016. The intention of the Scholarships is to encourage and support academically excellent domestic and international students, who are paying domestic fees, to undertake doctoral study at the University of Auckland. Students will be assessed for scholarship eligibility and award at the time of application to the doctoral programme.

You do not need to apply for this scholarship, award or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee.

Entry requirements
The Scholarships may be awarded for full-time enrolment in the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Clinical Psychology or the research component of another approved doctorate. The scholarships may also be available to domestic students for whom socially compelling reasons make part-time enrolment preferable (see Note iv).
The Scholarships are tenable by domestic students and international students who are paying domestic fees.
