About the scholarship
Established by the University of Otago Council and Brooker United Travel in 2013, to provide doctoral candidates with support towards travel to an international conference. One scholarship per Division will be offered each year.
How To Apply
Every applicant must submit an application to the University of Otago Scholarships Office by the specified closing date. This should comprise:
A 250-500 word covering letter addressing how attendance and presentation of the applicant’s work at the chosen conference will benefit their doctoral research. The letter should clearly state the name, location and dates of the chosen conference and information on the conference’s reputation within the candidate’s discipline (if available). A letter of support from the candidate’s supervisor(s) addressing the candidate’s work to date and the value of the chosen conference to the candidate. A brief Curriculum Vitae.

Be current University of Otago doctoral candidates who are yet to submit their thesis for examination Have had a paper, presentation or poster arising from their doctoral studies accepted at an international conference
