The University of Otago, New Zealand’s first university, was founded in 1869 and offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes with a strong emphasis on research and academic excellence. The University of Otago's Christchurch campus is based at the Christchurch School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Wellington Campus

University of Otago House

At the Auckland Centre we offer a variety of teaching and learning opportunities including a selection of Summer School papers. We are frequently pleased to host a number of distinguished guest speakers, business and industry forums and research summits. The Centre also functions as a base for our active Auckland and northern Alumni. The Auckland Centre is the base for the University's Schools' Liaison General Manager and northern area Schools' Liaison team, who work in partnership with schools to provide support and advice to prospective students and their families.

University of Otago College of Education Invercargill Campus

The Southland Campus in Invercargill is small and friendly and delivers a range of teacher education programmes in Early Childhood and Primary Education. Selected specialised Subject Studies and Education papers are also available to students studying at the Southland Campus. Specialised programmes in Te Pōkai Mātauranga o te Ao Rua (Primary Bicultural Education) are offered at the Southland Campus. Find out more about these programmes.
