About the scholarship
A $5,000 Scholarship to assist full or part-time postgraduate students enrolled in Education and Social Work related programmes. The Scholarship was established in 2017 and is funded by the estate of Elizabeth Heard in memory of her husband Mark Heard. Mr and Mrs Heard believed that education opportunities should be available to anyone regardless of the financial, social and cultural factors that normally impact on a person's ability to realise their potential. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support postgraduate students enrolled in Education or Social Work related programmes who have demonstrated the potential to succeed but are experiencing hardships or who may have been disadvantaged due to their personal circumstances.
