About the scholarship
A Scholarship of up to $5,000 pa for up to three years to support registered members of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei who are enrolled full-time or part-time in undergraduate or sub-doctoral postgraduate study in the Faculty of Arts and Education. The Scholarship was established in 2009 and is funded by the Faculty of Arts and Education to further develop the relationship, based on the Memorandum of Understanding, between Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland and Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei. The Scholarship is intended to support Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei to realise their education goals and encourage Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei students to study in the Faculty of Arts and Education at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
