About the scholarship
The Robert James Jenkins Memorial Scholarship in Medicine was established in 2003 with funds bequeathed through the Robert James Jenkins Memorial Trust. Robert James Jenkins (1971–1986) was the son of Claude and Elaine Jenkins of Dunedin. The University of Otago is pleased to be able to offer this award to assist fifth and sixth year medical students, who are experiencing financial hardship, with their academic progress at the University of Otago.
Entry requirements
Applicants must: be a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand Residence Class Visa Holder, and enrolled for the fifth or sixth year of the course leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Otago. Experiencing financial hardship that makes it difficult to continue at University. Please see the Scholarships for medical students page for application information.
