About the scholarship

Established in 1979 by a bequest from the late Ida G. White, this scholarship shall be awarded to a candidate who has shown exceptional ability or promise in singing or a stringed instrument who is pursuing the study of music outside New Zealand.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have graduated from the University of Otago with a 3- or 4-year performance degree, studying voice, violin, or cello; have been accepted into a full-time course of study at a leading music college or university overseas; and be living overseas while studying.
