About the scholarship
Established by the School of Biomedical Sciences (BMS) in 2015 to increase the number of Māori biomedical researchers and enable Māori students to reach their full potential. The BMS offers one Māori Postgraduate Scholarship each year with one-year support to study full-time for a BSc Hons, BBiomedSc Hons, PGDipSci or 1st year of a MSc within the School.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be Māori, having met the University's ancestry verification requirements; and intending to enrol full-time in a 400-level postgraduate programme offered by the School of Biomedical Sciences with the primary supervisor a member of staff in one of the BMS Departments (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Physiology).
