About the scholarship
The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarships for International Students celebrates and welcomes international students to the University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka, as valued members of our University community and is awarded to support students to pursue their academic goals. The scholarship is valued at NZD$10,000 and is payable only as a credit towards tuition fees. Students starting their programme in semester 2 are eligible for this scholarship. Deferral of the scholarship is not possible.
Entry requirements
Application for this Entrance Scholarship is open to all international students who have completed secondary (high) school, or at another approved institution that grants University Entrance either overseas or within New Zealand. And Are intending to enrol or have enrolled in full-time undergraduate degree-level study, or in an approved foundation diploma programme, with the objective of progressing into an undergraduate degree at the University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka. In addition to the above eligibility criteria, applicants must be: * Intending to study at the University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka from 100-level (first year) through to degree* attainment; * Studying on campus throughout the duration of their studies. *Please note that those enrolling into foundation certificate programmes are ineligible to receive this scholarship.
