About the scholarship
These scholarships provide for students who have demonstrated academic ability and who can show significant financial need or have life circumstances that present barriers to studying at university. Established in 2011 from funds made available by the Ralph and Eve Seelye Charitable Trust, the scholarships emphasize education. Eve Seelye, a prominent anaesthetist, came to New Zealand as a refugee from Austria during the Holocaust.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, New Zealand Residence Class Visa Holders, Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents with domestic fee status; or international students who have completed Year 12 and/or are in the process of completing Year 13 at a New Zealand school. Must have significant financial need or life circumstances which present barriers to studying at university and achieved NCEA Level 2 endorsed with merit, or equivalent.
