About the scholarship
Elman and Alfred Poole Scholarships are awarded to students graduating from Southland Boys' High School and Southland Girls' High School who intend to pursue a degree and career in science. Established by Dr Elman Poole in 2010, these scholarships honor the legacy of the Poole brothers, who excelled in their medical careers after graduating from these schools.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be Southland residents for three or more years, in attendance at either Southland Boys' High School or Southland Girls' High School, excelling in science, and intending to enroll in a Science degree programme with a preference for Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
