About the scholarship
These scholarships help support international students coming from nominated countries, and/or those who plan to study specific programmes at the University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka. The scholarship is valued at $15,000 and is payable only as a credit towards tuition fees. Students starting their programme in semester 2 are eligible for this scholarship. Deferral of the scholarship is not possible.
Entry requirements
Application for all International Entrance Scholarships are normally open to students who have completed secondary (high) school, or at another approved institution that grants University Entrance either overseas or within New Zealand. Applicants must be intending to study at the University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka from 100-level (first year) through to degree attainment; applying either to study at the University of Otago | Ōtākou Whakaihu Waka from a nominated country, and/or to be undertaking a specified programme of study at Otago; studying on campus throughout the duration of their studies.
