About the scholarship
The University of Otago Māori Doctoral Scholarship provides funding to support Māori PhD students studying at the University of Otago. The Scholarship is available to domestic students. Candidates for professional doctorates, as well as the PhD, are welcome to apply.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be:
- of Māori descent
- obtaining their first PhD qualification
Selection is based predominantly on academic merit and the applicant's potential for research.
