About the scholarship
When international postgraduate students submit an application for a University of Otago Scholarship, their GPA is converted to an Otago equivalent. The GPA is not the only factor considered; other factors such as research experience and alignment with Divisional strategic research priorities are also taken into account.
Entry requirements
Most successful scholarship applications will have a GPA in the US equivalent A range or an 8 on the Otago scale. A thesis assessment may be required if the thesis component is ungraded, pass/fail, or below the 0.25 EFTS requirement for admission.
