About the scholarship
The Stanley Paris Scholarships were established in 2019 by the University of Otago, from a generous donation by Drs Stanley and Catherine Paris. These scholarships support students in the area of musculoskeletal and manual therapy at the School of Physiotherapy, enhancing the School's profile as a leader in research and clinical practice. The Postgraduate Scholarship provides tuition fee rebates and stipends for living costs, while the PhD Scholarship offers similar benefits for up to three years.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be New Zealand registered physiotherapists and enrolled or intending to enrol at the University of Otago for the year of the award in either a Postgraduate Diploma in Physiotherapy or a Master of Physiotherapy focusing on orthopaedic manual therapy for the Postgraduate Scholarship. For the PhD Scholarship, applicants must be New Zealand trained and registered physiotherapists wishing to pursue a clinical research career in New Zealand, enrolled or intending to enrol in a Doctor of Philosophy programme focusing on orthopaedic manual therapy.
