About the scholarship
The S & G Higgs Entrance Scholarship was established in 2020 to support students with learning disabilities that make studying a personal challenge, along with financial need and life circumstances that present barriers to studying at the University of Otago. This scholarship is specifically for first-year undergraduate students.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, New Zealand Residence Class Visa Holders, Australian citizens, or Australian permanent residents with domestic fee status; or international students who have completed Year 12 and/or are completing Year 13 at a New Zealand school. Additionally, applicants must have a significant disability with substantial financial implications for their studies and have achieved NCEA Level 2 endorsed with merit, or equivalent.
