About the scholarship
The S & G Higgs Entrance Scholarship was established in 2020 to support students with learning disabilities who face financial challenges and personal circumstances that hinder their studies at the University of Otago. This scholarship is specifically for first-year undergraduate students.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens, New Zealand Residence Class Visa Holders, Australian citizens, or international students who have completed Year 12 and/or are completing Year 13 at a New Zealand school. Additionally, applicants must have a significant disability that has substantial financial implications for their studies and must have achieved NCEA Level 2 endorsed with merit or equivalent.
