About the scholarship
Established in 2023 from a generous gifting of funds from Don Moir in the memory of his late father Ralph Moir (1921–2001), a dedicated surveyor of over 60 years who worked across all parts of Otago and Southland. This scholarship supports students to pursue a Bachelor of Surveying degree at the University of Otago.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or New Zealand Residence Class Visa holders, or international students who have completed Year 12 and/or are completing Year 13 at a New Zealand school. Applicants must intend to enroll or have enrolled for the first time for first-year (100-level papers), full-time degree-level, undergraduate study at the University of Otago. Those who have studied more than 0.4 EFTS at any university or tertiary institution at degree-level or higher are not normally eligible, except when all previous study was undertaken while concurrently enrolled at secondary school.
