About the scholarship
Established by the University of Otago in 2005 to celebrate academic excellence and cultural diversity, this scholarship is intended to encourage the progression of indigenous Pacific Peoples into tertiary study. The scholarship provides a standard value of $16,000 over two years, with exceptional applicants potentially receiving a higher value. Recipients may also receive accommodation fee waivers if they accept a place in a Residential College.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be of indigenous Pacific Islands ancestry, involved in the Pacific community, and intending to enrol or have enrolled for the first time for first-year full-time degree-level undergraduate study at the University of Otago. Applicants must verify their ancestry.
