About the scholarship
Established in 2021 by the University of Otago with support from a generous donation by the Greer family and friends, the scholarship is named after Dr Andrew Greer, a Consultant in the Intensive Care Unit at Christchurch Hospital who passed away suddenly in January 2019. Dr Greer, of Ngāti Kahungunu descent, had a particular interest in positive health outcomes for Māori.
Entry requirements
Applicant must be a current undergraduate University of Otago Health Sciences student wishing to undertake an honours year, or pursue other programmes of post-graduate study in the year following application; a student, Māori or non-Māori, wishing to further their research in an area specific to Māori health and wellbeing.
