About the scholarship
The Rutherford Science High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarship was established in 2025 and is funded by Gareth James, an alumnus of Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, to honour the memory of his grandfather, Eric Clark OBE, who was the founding principal of Rutherford High School (now Rutherford College). The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and support students in the Faculty of Science at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland.
Entry requirements
Must be enrolled in the second year of an undergraduate degree or conjoint degree in the Faculty of Science. Please read the regulations carefully to be sure you are eligible to apply. Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around eight weeks after the closing date.
