About the scholarship
The Maureen Baker Prize was established in 2020 and is funded by Maureen Baker, an Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the University of Auckland. The main purpose of the Prize is to reward and recognise the most academically meritorious student in Stage II of a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Arts conjoint degree majoring in Gender Studies.
