About the scholarship
The Liu Shiming Arts Scholars Award is a $5,000 scholarship for domestic students enrolling in the second or subsequent year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or BFA conjoint degree. Established in 2024 and funded by the Liu Shiming Arts Foundation, the award aims to support an undergraduate student at Te Waka Tūhura | Elam School of Fine Arts, with an interest in ceramics and/or sculpture, to create a project or exhibition, or undertake travel related to their study.
Entry requirements
Applicants must be domestic students enrolling in the second or subsequent year of a BFA or BFA conjoint degree. Please read the regulations carefully to be sure you are eligible to apply. All sections (including request sections) must be completed by the closing date, which is midnight on the specified date. We recommend you do not have two different scholarship applications open within the same browser. Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around eight weeks after the closing date. For more details, refer to the Regulations for the Liu Shiming Arts Scholars Award.
