About the scholarship
An Award of up to $6,000 pa for up to three years to support women students who have completed the University of Auckland New Start Programme and are now enrolling full-time in an undergraduate degree. The Award was established in 1997 and is funded by the Kate Edger Foundation. The main purpose of the Award is to assist women students who have successfully completed the University of Auckland New Start Programme to undertake full-time study in an undergraduate degree programme at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland. The Award is intended for students studying full-time towards a qualification; however, the Trustees recognise that health conditions or impairments can limit a person's ability to study full-time and have extended the Award in 2023 to include part-time study on a case-by-case basis.
Entry requirements
Women graduates of the University of Auckland's New Start Programme enrolling in their first undergraduate degree in the following year.
