About the scholarship

An Award of up to $6,000 per annum for up to three years to support women graduates of the University of Auckland Tertiary Foundation Certificate who are now enrolling in their first undergraduate degree. The Award was established in 2016 and is funded by the Kate Edger Foundation. The main purpose of the Award is to assist women students who have successfully completed the University of Auckland Tertiary Foundation Certificate to undertake full-time study in an undergraduate degree programme at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland. The Award is intended for students studying full-time towards a qualification; however, the Trustees recognise that health conditions or impairments can limit a person's ability to study full-time and have extended the Award in 2023 to include part-time study on a case-by-case basis.
