About the scholarship

A $2,000 Award to support women students enrolling in undergraduate or postgraduate study in Engineering. The Award was established in 2016 and is financed by a bequest from the estate of Vinka Marinovich, in memory of her brother who passed away while a student of Engineering at the University of Auckland. The main purpose of the Award is to support women enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate study in the Faculty of Engineering and Design at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland. The Award is intended for students studying full-time towards a qualification; however, the Trustees recognise that health conditions or impairments can limit a person's ability to study full-time and have extended the Award in 2023 to include part-time study on a case-by-case basis.

Entry requirements

Women enrolling in Part III or IV of a BE (Hons), or a masters degree or PhD in Engineering. Please read the regulations carefully to be sure you are eligible to apply. Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around eight weeks after the closing date.
