To apply for this scholarship, please use the UC School-Leaver Scholarships 2023 application form. Applications open 20 June 2022 and close 15 August 2022.The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise and support promising students from north Wairarapa who intend to complete a programme for a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours (BE(Hons)) degree in Civil or Natural Resources Engineering at the University of Canterbury. Selection will be based on:academic achievement, as indicated by quality of achievement at NCEA Level 2, or equivalent university entrance qualification;involvement in community, cultural and/or sporting activities; anddemonstrated commitment to, or interest in, the Civil or Natural Resources Engineering programme at the University of Canterbury.A graduate of the University?s Civil Engineering programme and pupil of Wairarapa College in the 1960s established the scholarship in 2015. It honours family, community, school teachers, and UC Professor Tom Paulay, who was an inspirational structural engineering teacher and mentor.
