Applications open 20 June 2022 and close 15 August 2022.This scholarship recognises and supports high-achieving students at Te Whare W?nanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury who are entering their first year of a programme for a BA, BDataSci, or BSc degree and majoring in Data Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics. Value/Benefits: Financial assistance at a value of $2,000Level of Study: School Leaver (First year undergraduate) Closing Date: 11:59 pm (NZT) 15 August (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date) Tenure: One year Number Available Annually: Six, one of which is reserved for a student with whakapapa M?ori, and one of which is reserved for a Pacific/Pasifika studentApplicable Enrolment During Tenure: The scholarship is tenable during full-time enrolment in a programme for a BA, BDataSci, or BSc with:a major in Data Science and an enrolment in (a) MATH 102, and (b) STAT 101 or DATA 101; ora major in Financial Engineering and an enrolment in MATH 103 and STAT 101; ora major in Mathematics and an enrolment in MATH 103; ora major in Statistics and an enrolment in STAT 101Recipients who have completed MATH 199 are exempt from enrolling in MATH 102 or MATH 103Special Requirements: Applicants must not have been enrolled in a degree programme at any tertiary institute.
