About the scholarship
Maori The scholarship recognises academic and extracurricular achievement of students who have completed a first year of study towards an LLB at Te Whare W?nanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury, and supports study in such a programme at the University for a second year.Value/Benefits:a. $5,000 Level of Study during Tenure: UndergraduateClosing Date: 31 March (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date.) Tenure: One year Number Available Annually: Four, of which one is reserved for a student with whakapapa M?ori, and one is reserved for a Pacific/Pasifika student. Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: The scholarship is tenable during full-time enrolment in the second year of a programme for an LLB at the University, in courses totalling 90 points at LAWS 200 level if enrolled for a double degree, or 120 points at LAWS 200 level if enrolled for an LLB only. Citizenship/Residency Requirements: Applicants must be Aotearoa New Zealand citizens or holders of Aotearoa New Zealand residence class visas.
