About the scholarship
This scholarship supports students of high academic achievement who have a significant disability, for study towards a research doctoral degree at Te Whare W?nanga o Waitaha | University of Canterbury.Value/Benefits:a. Financial assistance at a value of NZ$28,000 per 120 points of thesis enrolment b. Tuition fees for thesis enrolment only, at the Aotearoa New Zealand domestic rate Level of Study: Doctoral Closing Date: 11:59 pm 15 October (NZT) (Applications open approximately 8 weeks before this date.) Tenure: Up to 480 points of enrolment Number Available Annually: At least one Applicable Enrolment During Tenure: The scholarship is tenable by students engaged in study for a research doctoral degree. Citizenship/Residency Requirements: There are no citizenship or residency requirements for this scholarshipSpecial Requirements: Applicants must have a disability that significantly impairs ability to study. Applicants must submit evidence regarding the degree of disability and the extent to which it impairs their ability to study. Selection is based equally on the following:Academic achievement, including, but not limited to: (1) the quality of the institution and programme pertaining to the candidate?s qualifying degree(s); and (2) the candidate?s prior relevant research experience, research publications, and other outputs.The degree of severity of the disability and the extent to which it impairs the applicant's ability to carry out their course of study.This scholarship supports students of high academic achievement who have a significant disability, for study towards a research doctoral degree at the University of Canterbury.
